8:30 Service: In-person, Communion every Sunday ~ 11:00 Service: In-person & Livestream

WOW (Worship Our Way)

WOW is offered every Sunday during the 11 o’clock service and offers children ages 3 (potty-trained) through 5th grade the opportunity to worship and respond on their own level.

We use the stories from Godly Play as our “sermon” time and the children have music time with our Children’s Choir Director. Music includes favorite church songs as well as learning songs that connect with our Bible story each week. In October children learn Christmas songs as part of our annual Christmas Pageant shared by the children of the church.

  • There are worship activity bags at all 3 entrances of the sanctuary with puzzles connected to the scripture of the day, coloring, stickers and more for children to do while listening to the beginning of service.

Each week we have music time that includes favorite church songs as well as learning songs that connect with our weekly Bible stories, and we play rhythm instruments! Children share a song we learn during WOW in 11 o’clock worship in October and in May. Children also learn Christmas songs as part of our annual Christmas Pageant shared by the children of the church. WOW children’s worship builds community while we worship God together!Once we enter our children’s worship space we continue worship through our Greeting, Changing of the Church Clock, watching and hearing a Bible story, and singing. Some weeks we also light our Christ candle and pray together, respond to the story with hands-on materials, and play instruments. WOW children’s worship builds community while we worship God together.

Parents, we will complete our worship by 12:00 p.m. (11:00 am in the summer). Please wait in the hallway, and we will dismiss children by family once we have completed our worship!

Feel free to email Jen Brown-Murphy, Director of Youth and Children's Ministry, if you have any questions.

WOW (Worship Our Way)

WOW is offered every Sunday during the 11 o’clock service (10:00 in the summer) and offers children ages 3 (potty-trained) through 5th grade the opportunity to worship and respond on their own level.

Children begin worship in the sanctuary where we offer worship activity bags at all 3 entrances of the sanctuary with puzzles connected to the scripture of the day, coloring, stickers and more for children to do while listening to the beginning of service. After the Confession children will be invited to join a staff member for Children at the Chancel for a few minutes of talking about faith before the children leave to continue worship in the WOW room in the children’s wing.

Once we enter our children’s worship space we continue worship through our Greeting, Changing of the Church Clock, watching and hearing a Bible story, and singing. We use the stories from Godly Play as our “sermon” time and the children have music time with our Children’s Choir Director. Some weeks, instead of a new story, we light our Christ candle and pray together, we respond to the story with hands-on materials and/or we enjoy feast time.

WOW children’s worship builds community while we worship God together!
