The Deacons' Outreach Committee sponsors annual activities at Westminster, including an annual Christmas basket delivery program. a back-to-school fair, and drives for clothing, furniture and tutorial assistance. Members of the church serve on both the Presbyterian Housing Corporation and the Christian Service Ministry Boards, which oversee the property and the programs at Westminster Village.

Needs For Westminster Village

There is a need for clothing for all ages (Infants, Children, Teenagers, and Adults) at Westminster Village.

Also there has been requests for furniture like dressers and chests of drawers. If you have a donation, please bring it to the church and put it at the bottom of the stairs at the Ransom Street entrance. Call Roger Bain (272-3459) and Judy Ellis (299-4529) if you have a large donation or furniture for a pick-up at your home.

The residents of Westminster Village and Lakeside Manor expressed their Thanks to the people who helped them in the Christmas Basket Project last year. Thanks to all who donated money to this project over the holidays. Also, thanks to those who gave about two hours of their to deliver the baskets to the residents. We delivered 136 baskets to the residents at Westminster Village and Lakeside Manor which made their holidays a bit brighter.

In 2000, the special offering will be collected on Sunday, December 3; and baskets will be delivered on Sunday afternoon, December 17. Call Roger Bain to help.
