Dan Hans is our Pastor Born and raised in Cincinnati, Dan obtained degrees from Denison University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He has served in Presbyterian churches in Pittsburgh, Milford, and Gettysburg. Dan came to Second in 2008 as an accomplished author, lacrosse player, and mission team leader. |
| Darla Blatnik is our Associate Pastor A recent graduate of Union Theological Seminary, Darla began her work at Second in August, 2002. She has previous experience as a social worker, a manager, and a lawyer. |
| Stephen Palmer is our Associate Pastor
of Special Ministries
A native of Lexington and a graduate of Lexington Theological Seminary,
Steve has been an associate pastor at Second since 1991. He served four
other churches in Central Kentucky before coming to Second. |

Diane Banasiak is our Interim
Director of Christian Education Diane's prior assignments include Minister for Youth at First Christian in Berea, Job Corps Business Relations Specialist, Campus Minister, Religion Teacher, and Director of Adult Formation. She has a B.A. from College of St. Francis, an M.A. from Catholic Theological Union, and a Certificate in Spirituality from Boston College. She also teaches English part time at Eastern Kentucky University. |

Evan Dolive is our Youth Ministry
Intern Originally from Texas, Evan came to Kentucky to attend Lexington Theological Seminary for a Masters in Divinity degree. He was a Youth Intern in Texas while attending Stephen F. Austin State University. Evan is an avid sports fan, especially Dallas Stars hockey and Texas Rangers baseball. He is married to Miranda Dolive, Children's Choir and Carillon Handbell Director. |

Tina Harris is our Coordinator
of Children's Ministries Tina and her husband, Ward, have been members of Second since 1997.
Ward is also Usher Captain. They have one son, Gray. |
| Joann Atcher is our Director of Child
Care
Joann's family consists Charlie, daughters Anne and Charlotte,
son-in-law Craig, and grandsons Teague and Reece. Joann has lived in
Lexington since 1961 and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. |

Jackie Graves is our Parish Nurse Jackie earned a BS in nursing from Northern Illinois University and holds a certificate in Parish Nursing from Marquette University. Her career focus has been community health. Jackie is a volunteer for Safe Kids Coalition and the Red Cross and is a board member for Family Care Center. In addition to Parish Nursing, she is also a clinical instructor in Community Health for the U.K. College of Nursing. |
| Vertrelle Cameron-Mickens is our Director
of Music
Vertrelle, noted a for her performances in opera and oratorio, is an IBM Fellow in the Musical Arts at the UK and is on the Voice Faculty at EKU. She has served for over 20 years as a choral director in churches throughout the Caribbean and the U.S. |
| Hayward Mickens is our Organist
Hayward teaches piano and organ as a faculty member of the Eastern
Kentucky University Music Department. He is a graduate of the Peabody
Conservatory of Music. |

Miranda Dolive is our Worship
Assistant
Miranda is attending Lexington Theological Seminary and UK's Sacred Music
Degree program. She is Director of Carillon Handbell Choir and the Cherub
and Seraph Choir. She is married to Evan Dolive, Youth Ministry Intern. |

Mollie Sawyer is our Financial Manager
Mollie is a native of Lexington and a member of Central Christian Disciples of Christ Church. Mollie has a degree in Accounting from Midway College and is excepting to complete her Business Administration degree from Midway soon. She serves on the board of Central Music Academy in a support role as a bookkeeper. Mollie is married to Jim Sawyer and they own Sawyer’s Downtown restaurant. |

Shawn Ray is our Secretary
Shawn has two boys, Justin and Kevin, and one daughter, Taylor. Shawn and her family returned to Lexington, her home town, in 1998. She is a member of Southland Christian Church. In her spare time, Shawn likes to travel and spend time with her children. |

Cindy Riley is our Secretary
Cindy was born in Ohio and raised in Lexington, but moved away to live in places such as Nashville shortly after high school. She returned to Lexington in 2003 to be close to her daughter, son-in-law, and four grandchildren whom she adores. She is an artist in her spare time, and loves doing anything creative from drawing with pen and pencil to computer graphics. She is a member of Southland Christian Church. |

Bob Destefano is our Superintendant of Building
& Grounds
Bob recently relocated to Lexington from Long Island, N.Y. with his
wife Janie, a curator at the University of Kentucky Art Museum. |
| David Cobb is our Custodian
David was born in Danville, Ky. and raised in Jessamine County where he
resides today with his wife Betty and daughter Davina. He has been
employed at Second Church since 1992. |

| Judy Potts is our Church Cook Judy is a baker and caterer as well as our meal planner and cook.
Judy's children are Masten, Mac, Judy and Jamie. Her husband John is an
