Transylvania Presbytery serves 12,800 members in 97 churches. It has 2 Presbyterian-related colleges: Pikeville College and Centre College in Danville.

Many members of Second Persbyterian's congregation have served the Presbytery in different capacities. Recently, Nancy Stage completed her service as treasurer. John McGee, AliceAnn Sanders, Grey Tate, Jo Hepburn,and Ina Carpenter have recently represented Second at Presbytery meetings.
