CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR ADULTSClasses for Adults are held every Sunday morning from 9:40 to 10:40 a.m. The classes cover topics such as basic Bible Study (for those who know the Bible well, and those who do not), spiritual formation, the relationship of contemporary social issues to the Christian life, marriage and family concerns, and the essentials of the Christian faith. Our Forum Class focuses on community, national and international issues, and on occasion a Readers Theatre group performs reading from scripture. Various resources from the Presbyterian Church and elsewhere are used as curriculum for these classes.
Classes for visitors inquiring about membership and for new members are held at least three times each year, usually beginning in September, January and April. The Book Club gains insights through reading. Women's Bible Study is held on Tuesdays from 10:30-12:00. Special Events scheduled throughout the year provide a variety of educational opportunities. Each year, the Pace-Warren Lecture Series brings outstanding speakers to Second. |
