Theological Education

Second Presbyterian is active in providing financial and volunteer support to a number of statewide educational institutions. We make an annual contribution to the PC(USA) Fund for Theological Education, provide annual financial support to Pikeville College in Eastern Kentucky, and provide financial support for the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

PIKEVILLE COLLEGE PRESIDENT HAL SMITH HERE FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 1998

President Hal Smith joined us on Friday, February 13, 2:30-4:00 p.m. to tell about the exciting ministry of Pikeville College. Pikeville is actively affiliated with the Presbyterian Church, and has had a long connection with Second Church. Its ministry is supported through our mission budget. In the past, members Lon and Mary Evelyn Rogers have both served on the board of trustees. In the present, member Bill Sturgill and pastor David Renwick serve on the board, and past interim pastor, Paul Miller is Director of church relations.
